Recently, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to change the procedure for registering lease and mortgage rights, simplifying some points. The result was a new resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, which settled the procedure for registering property rights to real estate. Dmitry Vorona, the head of the State Registration Service, said that under the previous legislation, the housing owner was supposed to contact the state registration department of material rights three times, but due to new changes, to solve all issues, it would be necessary to pay there only one visit. According to him earlier, the process was three stages. First of all, it was necessary to fix the ownership of real estate. Then register the primary lease agreement. The third stage included fixing the changes or continuing the operation of the primary lease or mortgage agreement. After the decision enters into force, the work of state registration authorities will occur so that a citizen can contact them directly. Then the extension of the lease agreement will be produced and registered in a special register. This means that the execution of all the necessary documents can be made within one visit to the state registration authority. It is only necessary to contact the appropriate department with all the documents that must be provided, and its specialists will process all statements regarding the lease and mortgage. The resolution has no power yet, but from next year it will already be introduced into the implementation. While registration of property rights and mortgage rights occurs according to the old model.
